Charter started out over fifteen years ago in the food service, casual dining, and restaurant franchise consulting business. Here are a few of our successful concepts:

Avalon Diner

Our company was initially hired as business consultants to assist with various issues of this now 69-year-old concept. In 2005, Charter was hired to create and launch the franchise. Avalon is a true-to-style 1930’s diner reminiscent of the depression and WWII era and is known for its outstanding food and unique service. Charter served as a marketing agent for the franchise selling existing units. We established and evaluated unit value, packaged the store investment, and sold off units.

Beignet House & Deli

In 2002, Charter was hired to evaluate the feasibility of putting Beignet House & Deli into the franchise business. Menu advice, as well as store prototyping, was a key part of the assignment. Charter was responsible for developing the operational, recipe and employee manuals.

Berripop

Berripop Partners came to Charter for help with their ambitious franchise expansion goals and to function as Berripop’s sales and development partner. We assist with all aspects of franchise concept marketing, site location, demographics, franchisee relations and growth strategies. Charter also handles publicity and public relations in the print and broadcast media.

Burger House

In 2008, Charter Franchise Group was brought on board as development consultants by Burger House owners to move the company onto the national franchise scene. Charter’s assignment has included complete updating of all franchise compliance documents including the new franchise disclosure document (FDD), regulatory filings, operational manual reviews, and creation of the employee manuals and handbook. Charter is the franchise development operating unit for Burger House and is responsible for all development, growth and expansion of the franchise concept through area development programs and individual store development.

Crescent City Beignets

In 1999, Charter was hired to launch this concept into the franchise business. Charter was responsible for developing the franchise agreement and the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Additionally, Charter handled the franchise marketing of this exciting New Orleans-style café, selling 54 franchises in just 3 years.

Danny’s Restaurants

Charter is responsible for Danny’s Restaurants’ entry into the franchise business in 2005. This excellent Tex-Mex restaurant offers food service all day. Famous throughout the Texas valley, Danny’s Restaurants average $ 1.8 million per year in sales and serve a varied, complete family meal with menu options for everyone.

Huddle House

Charter has performed consulting and advisory services for Huddle House franchisees in the area of demographics, site selection analysis, and evaluation for prospective locations.

Kolache Factory

This exciting, established concept is known for putting out complete meals in kolache form (Czech pastry stuffed with a variety of fillings). Charter served as an early consultant to Kolache Factory’s franchise effort.

La Paletera

In 2003, Charter was responsible for launching La Paletera into the franchise business. This Mexican-style ice cream and fruit concept has seen phenomenal success under Charter’s leadership. Charter handles all compliance, regulatory filings and markets this concept. Charter has successfully sold 85 franchises and assisted with real estate site selection, financing and the opening of 50+ units in the last 4 years.

Las Hamacas

In 2008, Charter Franchise Group was brought on board to guide the company onto the regional franchise scene. As Las Hamacas’ franchise development operating unit, Charter’s assignment has included the complete update of all franchise compliance documents including the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), regulatory filings, operational and recipe formatting manual reviews, as well as the creation of the employee manuals and handbook.

Luciano

In 2009, Charter Franchise Group was brought on board as development consultants by the Centofanti family to move Luciano’s onto the national franchise market.

Charter’s assignment has included developing all of the franchise compliance documents including the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), the Franchise Agreements and the Area Development Agreement, regulatory filings, operational manuals and reviews, and creation of the employee manuals and handbook.

Charter is the franchise development operating unit for Luciano’s Express and Luciano’s Neighborhood Pizzeria. Charter is responsible for all development, growth and expansion of the franchise concept nationwide.

Marble Slab

Charter or its affiliates have owned and operated units, and served in various capacities in this company since 1992. Charter has been responsible for several sales of franchise units to second and third generation franchisees. We have also served in various consulting roles, including marketing, management, vendor management and selection.

Mother Tucker’s Restaurants

Charter served as a consultant to this full service restaurant chain in 1989. Our advice to Mother Tucker’s senior management crossed the entire food service gamut from menu selection to disposition of a real estate portfolio. Mother Tucker’s is a Canadian-based company and the largest KFC franchisee in Canada.

New York Pizzeria

Charter served as a franchise consultant advising this concept on franchise marketing formats and different prototype styles and possibilities.

Oscar’s Creamery

Charter was responsible for launching Oscar’s into the franchise business. The UFOC, franchise agreement as well as development of the new concept prototype were all work assignments carried out by our fine staff whose combined experience exceeds 75 years in the franchise consulting and operations business.

Quizno’s Sandwich Deli

Beginning in 1997, Charter acted for a number of years in the capacity of consultant to a large area developer. We also assisted in the marketing and sale of existing units to second-generation franchisees. We have been responsible for business evaluation, packaging and sale of several franchise units.

Skeet’s BAR-B-Q

In 2006, Charter launched Skeet’s into the franchise business. We continue to consult with Skeets, keeping the company in full franchise compliance and advising them on store style and design.
