How much capital do I need?

You will need $40,000 (US) to purchase your franchise. You will need a total of $75,000 to $90,000 to acquire the franchise, equip and staff your office to offer services for the first year. The capital needed is a function of market penetration and local economies.

Do I have a protected territory?

In most cases, no. You will protect your customer base through long-term contract agreements. However, if you currently have a high volume of clients under contract within a specific medical discipline and in a particular geographical area, you may be able to negotiate exclusivity of the HCPP brand.

What kind of experience is most helpful to a HCPP franchisee?

Familiarity with the medical industry or experience with medical billing or claims processing is helpful because our clients are physicians and medical facilities. However, any person with good business experience would be a candidate.

Can I own/operate another business in addition to a HCPP franchise?

In some cases, yes. As with any venture, you need to ask if your current business is compatible, and whether the combination of activities causes any actual or perceived conflict of interest, ethical concerns, legal breaches, or time constraints.

Where will training take place?

Initial training will take place at our National office in Arizona. Optional training can be scheduled at your office on a consulting basis if needed.

How much is the Royalty?

The royalty is 1% of payments collected for clients and 10% any other ancillary services gross revenue. Royalty is paid on a monthly basis (subject to a monthly minimum). Royalty is waived for the first six months after you purchase your franchise.

Do I need an office?

Yes. HCPP requires an office by the first anniversary of your franchise agreement. You will find it beneficial to be in an office that reflects professionalism and is located near the major medical activity in your area.
